This award was inspired in 1998 by CNF supporter, Mr. Po Ting Ip, of Vancouver, BC. The award is dedicated to Canadian home health care nurses enrolled in professional development courses, programs, or workshops related to their field. Mr. Ip wanted to provide a special opportunity to home care nurses in Canada for the important work they do, but more specifically “to encourage the award recipient to have Florence Nightingale’s spirit”.
Eligibility criteria
1. Canadian citizen or permanent resident status.
2. Open to home-health care RN’s, RPN’s or LPN’s
3. Should be starting or continuing a university or professional development course, or certified program at a recognized educational institution.
4. Applicants must be studying in Canada.
How to apply
1. Please complete the following documents using your computer. Forms completed by hand will not be considered:

2. Please have one academic or work referee complete the Appendix “B”: Referee appraisal. The Referee must complete the form, print it out for her/his signature and give it back to you in a sealed/signed envelope.
3. Before sending your application, please read and review very carefully the Checklist: it includes a list of supporting documents you must provide with your application.
4. Mail your package to CNF offices postmarked on or before March 31, 2010.
Please be advised that applicants will be informed of results by mid-June 2010.
