Nursing 4.0

 May 2010

 CNF campaign passes $1-million mark

As of April 1, the Canadian Nurses Foundation (CNF) had raised $1.2 million for its Nursing 4.0 campaign and is well on its way to reaching its $4-million goal.

Nurses, corporations and community leaders are supporting the campaign with gifts of all sizes. To date, the campaign’s biggest corporate donors are TD Bank Financial Group, RBC Foundation and AstraZeneca.

This demonstration of support sends a strong message to governments that there is recognition from many sectors of the critical need for greater investment in nursing education and research.

About the Canadian Nurses Foundation and Nursing 4.0

  • CNF is the only national charity exclusively devoted to supporting Canadian nurses. The foundation advances nursing knowledge by securing funding for scholarship and research and by providing national recognition to Canada’s innovative nurses.

  • When the campaign ends in 2012, CNF wants to be able to support twice as many nurse and nursing student scholarship applicants and to increase the number of certification and research awards.

  • Campaign results have enabled CNF to award an additional 41 scholarships so far.

CNF challenges active and retired nurses to collectively contribute $1 million. Visit www.cnf-fiic.ca to make your donation today!
