Nursing 4.0
Four years — Four million — For the next generation

The Canadian Nurses Foundation (CNF) announces Nursing 4.0, a four-year drive to raise four million dollars. The campaign will be launched during National Nursing Week and will culminate in the celebration of CNF’s 50th anniversary.

CNF advances nursing knowledge by securing financial support for and increasing national recognition of Canada’s innovative nurses. Funds raised in this campaign will provide more nursing scholarships at all levels, more certification awards and more dollars for nursing research in Canada. CNF will rely on generous contributions from practising and retired nurses, individuals, corporations, foundations and governments to help it achieve its goal.

An Evaluation of the Nursing Resarch Fund: Lessons to Date and Recommended Next Steps

The establishment of the Nursing Research Fund (NRF) in 1999 was a triumph for the nursing community in achieving a greater commitment to building nursing research capacity in Canada to help better meet the challenges in the healthcare system of the day.

The Canadian Nurses Foundation (CNF) Nursing Care Partnership Program (NCP) is directed to support clinical nursing research.

An evaluation of the NRF was commissioned by the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation (CHSRF) in 2007 and completed in 2008. Please view the final report for lessons to date and recommendations for next steps..
